Sizing FAQ

1. What if my chest measurement is correct but my waist is much larger than the standard drop?

If your waist exceeds the standard 6” drop by more than 1½”, the pants may not let out sufficiently. In this case, consider sizing up and tailoring the jacket inward.


2. What if my waist is much smaller than the standard drop?

The pants can typically be reduced up to 3”. Beyond that, significant reconstruction may be required.


3. Should I size down for a tighter fit?

We do not recommend sizing down below your true chest measurement. Tailoring inward produces a cleaner and more controlled result than attempting to stretch a smaller size.


4. How do I know if I should choose Slim or Modern?

If you prefer minimal room and a sharp silhouette, choose Slim.
If you prefer comfort or have a broader midsection, choose Modern.


5. Can shoulders be adjusted?

Shoulder alterations are complex and costly. We recommend choosing the correct chest size to ensure proper shoulder fit from the start.


6. Why are the pants unfinished?

Leaving the pants unhemmed allows you to select your exact length and preferred break. This produces a cleaner, more intentional appearance.


7. What is a “break” in pant length?

The break refers to how the pants rest on the shoe.

• Slight Break – Balanced
• Full Break – Traditional


8. Can the vest be adjusted?

The vest includes a back adjuster strap for minor waist refinement.


9. What if my arms are longer than average?

Sleeves include up to 1” of additional fabric that can be extended by a tailor.


10. What happens if I alter the suit and then change my mind?

Once altered, the garment becomes final sale and cannot be returned.


11. Is it normal for the suit to feel slightly loose before tailoring?

Yes. Ready-to-wear suits are intentionally designed with alteration allowance. A professional tailoring session transforms the fit.


12. How accurate are the measurements listed?

Because each suit is handcrafted, minor variations (½”–1”) may occur. This is standard across premium suiting brands.

Orders begin processing promptly. If you need to request a change or cancellation, contact us immediately. Once an order has shipped, modifications are no longer possible.


16. Do you restock sold-out suits?

Select styles may return depending on demand. However, many collections are produced in limited quantities. We recommend purchasing promptly to secure availability.


17. Do you offer custom suits?

At this time, STRLN SUITS offers ready-to-wear collections only. Custom suiting services are not currently available.

18. How long does it take to process an order?

Orders are typically processed within 2–5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. During peak periods, processing may require additional time.


19. How long does shipping take?

Delivery timelines vary by destination and shipping method selected at checkout. Estimated delivery windows are provided at purchase but are not guaranteed.


20. Do you ship internationally?

21. What if my package shows delivered but I did not receive it?

Once a shipment is marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the recipient. We recommend contacting the carrier directly to initiate a claim.

29. How often should I dry clean my suit?

Dry cleaning should be done sparingly. Over-cleaning may shorten the lifespan of the fabric. Proper storage and light steaming help maintain the garment’s integrity.


30. Are your fabrics natural or synthetic?

Fabric composition varies by collection and is listed on each product page. We prioritize structure, durability, and refined finish in our selections.


31. Will the suit color look exactly like the photos?

While we aim for accuracy, lighting and screen displays may create slight color variation.


32. Do your suits wrinkle easily?

Structured suiting fabrics are designed to maintain shape. Minor creasing from shipping can typically be removed with light steaming.
